One Response to Amazon acquires Middle Eastern e-commerce giant Souq

  1. Rubina says:

    Hi Elin,
One of Middle East’s most sought after online website happens to be Souq. Souq sells literally anything and everything, from endless sources and all at the best quality.

This eventually led to the acquisition in 2017. The advantage for Amazon here is that they have complete access to the Middle Eastern customers without having to face any local competitors. With Souq Saudi being a very well-known name in the Middle East, it became easy for Souq Amazon to garner more customers and support.
