Yahoo! Japan Laboratory opened

Yahoo! Japan announced the opening of Yahoo! Japan Laboratory in Tokyo.
It aims to contribute to a healthy, rich development of the Internet by investigating and researching a further possibility of the Internet with the advancement of the technology, and the relationship between Internet and the society.

The academic activity is categorized in three main points:
“Internet Forecast” – study the development of the Internet as the society’s infrastructure.

“Basic research” – aims to contribute to the development of the science technology.

“Application and business research” – aimed at the development of the new business field and strengthening the competitive edge in the existing business field.
