The potential in China is big – no surprise then that Google, MSN, and Yahoo are falling over each other to get a foothold in mainland China and that the runaway success of the Baidu flotation has mouths gaping.
Baidu is the lead search engine in China – with Google holding a stake too – but the huge success of the flotation is making other outfits thing search, flotation and money all the way to the bank – reports Business Week.
According to BDA China, a research company, the online advertising market in China is already worth over $208 million with that whopping forecast for 2009 of $1 billion whetting a few appetites.
We can expect to see much more action in China very soon.
