RIA Novosti reports that there are now 180,000 web-sites on Runet, the Russian Internet domain. These figures were announced this Friday by Mikhail Seslavinsky, the head of the Russian Federal Agency for Print and Mass Media.
He said that the about 400,000 domains registered in the Russian segment of the Internet were a huge resource for developing Runet.
Seslavinsky also said the number of Internet users in the country had grown by 35% to 15-17 million people last year and that 30% of users were students.
