During the Recent Windows Developer Conference, Microsoft announced the release of Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Operating Systems Windows XP/2003 and the upcoming Vista, planned for release during 2006.
The release will be accompanied by a slight change in the logo and will formally become Windows Internet Explorer.
A beta version of IE 7 will be available in September, bundled with the Windows XP Service Pack 2.
Amongst the new functionalities announced are tabbed browsing and anti-phishing control.
Windows Internet Explorer will not be available for Windows 2000 or MacOS.
