The world of search might be ever changing but keywords are still at the heart of any online marketing activities and using the right ones can and will be the difference between success and failure.
It is for this reason that you should never, ever translate keywords – but you know that, right? If you are running international search campaigns, native keyword research for each country/region you are targeting is the only way to go.
Yet that is easier said than done, and many an international marketer has bemoaned the lack of an efficient, accurate keyword tool or service that can provide a quick, easy and cost-effective way to get keywords in any language to support global marketing efforts.
Until now. Now, there might just be a solution to this headache…
Launched today, Webcertain’s e-commerce solution enables you to buy keyword research for multiple languages and regions online – so you are literally a couple of clicks away from receiving a list of relevant terms that your target audience in your target market is using in online searches.
It could not be easier. You choose the type of keyword research you require, the search engine you are targeting, as well as the language and region you are trying to reach. You pay there and then, filling in a project brief to ensure we understand your requirements, your goals and your brand. And a couple of days later, you will have a set of keywords in your inbox.
Got a few questions? Hopefully I will be able to answer some of them below…
How can I be sure I will get quality?
This is not an automated solution that will just throw out a few loosely related terms. There are real people, natives of your target market with expertise in search, who will dig deep into the options and suggest keywords which are appropriate for your brand, popular with your potential customers and reflective of your message and offering.
We take a project brief before starting any work to ensure that we know what you want to achieve and can deliver work that meets your requirements. Every piece of work will go through our QA process before you receive it.
Is there not a keyword tool I can use to do this myself?
This is probably the closest thing you will get to a multilingual keyword tool. To find the keywords that will really make a difference and help you grow your business in international markets, there is no substitute for a native speaker, who can combine their linguistic and cultural knowledge with an understanding of your goals and the context of your message.
Is there a minimum charge or on-going commitment?
No. This solution enables you buy as much or little as you need, as rarely or often as you need it. If you just need 10 keywords in one language, or require regular refreshes of keywords in 40 languages, you can get it – without any minimum fees, commitment to buy more or complex setup process.
Which languages and search engines does it cover?
Webcertain can provide keyword research in 44 languages and for Google, Baidu, Naver, Yahoo Japan! and Yandex.
What makes this different to existing method of buying keyword research?
This solution will help you get access to the keywords you need faster than ever before. There is no time wasted trying to find a time for a call or meeting with your agency to establish the relationship or waiting for accounts to be setup and contracts signed.
There is no need to spend months interviewing agencies to select the right partner and making a lengthy commitment – you can start with as few as 10 keywords just to try it out.
And speed is the name of the game, the quicker you have your keywords, the quicker you can increase your visibility, traffic and conversions – and this solution is based around fast turnaround times, while not scrimping on quality.
Give it a try!
Our aim is to facilitate the development of international campaigns, and take some of the complexity and cost out of acquiring a genuine, effective keyword list for multiple global languages. So what have you got to lose? Give it a try and discover its potential for your business!

Using google translate to look for foreign keywords or assuming that the same words will be used in different languages is a big mistake.
Even two countries that speak English like the UK and the USA use different search terms.
Look at car parts for examples
Boot in the UK = Trunk in the USA
Bonnet in the UK = Hood in the USA
Bumper in the UK = Fender in the USA
Fender in the UK = Fireplace, brand of guitar.
As soon as you look into foreign languages the differences can be even greater. that is why you should always get professional direction by those who speak the languages, when doing any international internet campaigns.
Couldn’t agree more Mark, that’s why we ensure all of our keyword research is delivered by native speakers of each language and country. This ensures all the keywords are relevant and appropriate to the target audience.
