Web.de sale to United Media runs into problems in Germany

The sale of Web.de to United Internet has hit a snag with two shareholders objecting to the deal.

The German federal monopolies office had already approved the sale – as had the extraordinary meeting of the company. The board announced the objections on Friday – but still expects the deal to go ahead. The sale will finance the development of new services.
