Sesam.se is a new search engine in Sweden that is launched by Schibstedt. Interrestingly enough they are trying to go up against Google and MSN to become the best local search engine. I think “home grown” search engines have a chance against the big boys but might not have enough capital to sustain the kind of growth they need. I like the idea of more vertical searches and if they can get their own ad network going and not have to share revenue with Yahoo that might help.
